LEXINGTON — Betty Floyd Furr, 52, of Route 3, died Thursday morning from injuries sustained when struck by an automobile near her home. The funeral service will be held at 2 pm. today at Davidson Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by the Rev Richard Hoover. Burial will be in Forest Hill Memorial Park. Born in Denton on May 14, 1935, she was the daughter of Myrtle Floyd Cooper of Lexington and the late Oscar W Floyd. She was employed by Stanley Furniture Co. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Everette Daniel Furr of the home, a son, Scott Burchette of the home, three daughters, Mrs Richard (Gail) Hunt of Route 2, Denton, Mrs. Vernon (Vickie) Barton of Kannapolis, Mrs. Eddie (Theresa) Taylor of Lexington, a brother, Lester W Floyd of Southmont; and five grandchildren.Endnotes
