Death

James Houston Furr, Jr., age 22, of 1015 Mockingbird Lane, died Wed. Dec. 24, 1975 in a local hospital. He was born March 6, 1953 in Charlotte, N.C., son of James Houston and Helen Nance Furr. Mr. Furr graduated from South Mecklenburg High School and attended the University of N.C. at Charlotte. he was on the bowling team at the University of N.C. He was also selected to be on The All Star Bowlilng Team of Charlotte and was associated with Park Lanes and a member of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church, Funeral services 2:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 26 at The Harry and Bryant Chapel in The Oaks conducted by Rev. Larry Duncan of Forest Hills Presbyterian Church with interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. He is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Furr of Charlotte; one sister, Miss Rhonda Furr of Charlotte; one brother, Philip Furr of the home, maternal grandmother, Mrs. A. B. Furr of Charlotte. Memorials may be sent to The Cystic Fibrosis Research Foundation, 1401 E. 7th St, Charlotte, N.C.
