Death
Kirk Edward Furr, 58, of 103 Barker St., Swannanoa, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home. A native of Concord and a resident of Swannanoa for the past two years, he was a son of the late Wiley K. Furr Sr. and Vellie Woodell Furr. Surviving is a brother, Wiley K. Furr Jr. of Philadelphia, Pa. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday in Norwood Cemetery in Norwood. The Rev. Harold Goforth will officiate. Friends may call at Penland and Sons Funeral Swannanoa, from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday.Asheville Citizen-Times, November 9, 1978
