Death
George Washington Nation, 69, of 18 Dulin Ave, died Thursday in Cabarrus Memorial Hospital. Funeral Services will be conducted Saturday at 2 p.m. at Kerr St. Baptist Church by the Rev. Marion Rector and Rev. Claude Connell. Interment will be in West Concord Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Sam Aldridge, J.P. Morrison, Harold Mullis, Bill Mabrey, F.L. Baucom and Frank Hunsucker. Mr. Nation the son of the late Frank and Leona Lynch Nation was born in Georgia, July 4, 1904. He was retired owner and operator of a dry cleaning business. He was a Redmand and member of Kerr Street Baptist Church where he served as a Sunday school teacher and on the board of deacons. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Edna Earl Furr Nation, two sons Robert F. Nation of Elizabethtown, PA. and Wayne Nation of Chester, S.C.; two step-sisters Mrs. Alton McClamrock and Mrs. James Simpson, Concord; and four grandchildren.Published in The Concord (N.C.)
