ROCK HILL -- Mr. Grier Wilson Reid, 85, of 696 Annafrel St. died Saturday April 8, 2006, at home. The funeral will be 1:20 p.m. Tuesday at Greene Funeral Home Downtown Chapel, with the Rev. Brad Threatt officiating. Burial will be at Laurelwood Cemetery. A native of York, Mr. Reid was a son of the late Mary Elkins Reid. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and was retired from J.P. Stevens. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ellis Reid of the home; two sons, John Michael Reid of York and Jimmy Wilson Reid of Taylors; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 tonight at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 512 N. McDuffie St., Anderson, SC 29621.
