FRIONA - Kathrine Price Blackburn, 76, formerly of Friona, died Monday, Dec. 18, 2000, in Mandeville, La. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Sixth Street Church of Christ with Leon Talley officiating. Burial will be in Friona Cemetery by Ellis-Blackwell Funeral Home. Mrs. Blackburn was born in Tupelo, Miss. She earned a bachelor's degree in home economics from Mississippi State College for Women in Columbus, Miss. She kept books for Welch Auto Supply in Friona and worked as a teller at Friona State Bank. She had lived in Friona since 1945 and moved to Mandeville in 1997. She was a member of the Sixth Street Church of Christ. She married John W. Blackburn in 1944 at Columbus. He died in 1992. Survivors include a daughter, Brenda N. Howard of Saint Rose, La.; three sisters, Virginia Campbell of Sylacauga, Ala., Carolyn Livingston of Buda and Margaret Mullins of Clearwater, Fla.; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.Amarillo Daily News, Dec. 21, 2000
