Death
Youth Struck In Head Dies In Paris HospitalPARIS, Aug. 28. -- (AP) -- A pitched ball, thought at first to have caused but slight injury, was fatal to Mancel Furr, 18, of Enloe, who died last night in a hospital here. Furr was hit in a batting practice at Enloe Thursday. Robert Ecnols, who was pitching, warned Furr to be careful as he was throwing the ball wild. The next ball knocked Furr down, but he continued playing, thinking the injury not serious. He became unconscious several hours later.
