Death
MERLE ELIZABETH DICKINSON, was born January 2, 1913 in a ranching community near downtown Houston known by many as "Oates Prairie". She was the last surviving member of a third generation ranching family. She entered into Heaven on Thursday, September 15, 2005 .She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years A. Cecil Dickinson, twin sister Pearl Brazzell, sisters Ruth Hall and Hazel Jeanes, brother Dave Furr and parents Ebbert L. and Mamie Oates Furr. "Aunt Merle" was a member of the Jewett United Methodist Church in Jewett. "Aunt Merle" will be greatly missed by many including her niece Mamie Bell and husband Rodney a nephew Bubba Brazzell and wife Betty of Marquez, Tx. a nephew Frank Jeanes and wife Linda of Kingwood, brother-in-law Guy L. Jeanes of Dayton Family will greet visitors on Sunday, September 18, at Walters Funeral Home in Centerville from 1:00 P.M. till 8:00 P.M. Funeral services will be held Monday September 19, at 11:00 A.M. in the Walters Funeral Home Chapel Hwy 75 S. Centerville 903-536-2551Endnotes
