Death
BLOUNTSTOWN — Nathan Furr, 67, of Telogia, died Monday at Calhoun General Hospital in Blountstown after a brief illness. He was a native of Georgia and had lived most of his life in Liberty County. He was a retired mechanic with the Department of Transportation and a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Liberty County. Survivors include his wife, Ethelle Furr of Telogia; a son, Lamar Furr of Tallahassee; three daughters, Marcelle Planagan of Hosford, Daphine Blackburn of Blountstown and Debra Coon of Mount Pleasant; four brothers, Albert and Jesse Furr of Hospford, Malcon Furr of Enigna, Ga., and Edward Furr of Aurora, Ill.; a sister, Mamie Brooks of Pavo, Ga.; and six grandchildren. Graveside services are scheduled at 2 p.m. today at Good Hope Cemetery in Liberty County. Adams Funeral Home's Liberty County chapel is in charge of arrangements.Tallahassee Democrat, Tallahassee, Florida, August 20, 1980
