Death
Warren E. Furr, 18-year-old Albemarle boy, died Saturday afternoon in Jacksonville, Fla., where he had been living for the past few months, following a one-day’s illness from a throat infection. Young Furr, only son of J. M.Furr, Jr., of Albemarle, had been employed with Southern Mapping and Engraving company in Jackonville. Funeral service was conducted Monday afternoon at & o'clock at the home of his grandfather, J. M. Furr, Sr., of Concord, by Rev. H. M, Wilson, pastor of Baylass Memorial church in Concord. Interment was made in Oakwood cemetery in that city. Furr was a member of First Presbyterian church in Jacksonville. C. W. Pickler and Mills Morris of Palmer Funeral home went to Jacksonville for the body.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, May 11, 1943
