HIGH POINT — Mrs. Florence LeFler Furr, 95, of the Wesleyan Arms, Inc. died Saturday, Oct. 16, 1993, at the home. Arrangements are incomplete at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point. She was born July 26, 1898 in Stanley (sic) County, the daughter of Thomas Jefferson and Jenny Lou Sides LeFler. She had been a resident of High Point for two years coming here from Concord, N.C. She was a graduate of the Women’s College now the University of N.C. at Greensboro. She taught school in Cabbarus (sic) County retiring in 1949 and was a member of Christ United Methodist Church. In 1934 she marrried (sic) James S. Furr who died in 1982. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Robert P. (Helen) Guarino of 506 Emerywood Dr., High Point; one son, Charles Junius Furr of High Point; one brother, Calvin LeFler of Albemarle, N.C.; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church, 1300 N. College Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262.News and Record, Greensboro, North Carolina, October 17, 1993
