Death
Mrs. J. A. Cauble, 90-year-old resident of Albemarle, passed away Wednesday morning, January 21, at 11:30 in the Cabarrus hospital at Concord after several months of ill health. Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock at the Running Creek Primitive Baptist church where the body lay in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Elder C. M. Mills was in charge of the service. Burial was in the church cemetery. Mrs. Cauble was the daughter of the late Frederick Furr and Christine Little Furr of Cabarrus county. She was a member of Liberty Hill Primitive Baptist church in Stanly county. Her husband, J. A. Cauble, preceded her in death. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. J. W. Hudson, Mrs. Lem R. Almond, and Mrs. D. A. Hinson of Albemarle; three sons, J. D. of Lythia Springs, Ga., C. C. of Clarkdale, Ga., and D. F. of Laurens. S. C.; 23 grandchildren; and 26 great-grandchildren. The body was taken to the home of Mrs. Almond on Thursday morning.Stanly News and Press, Albemarle, North Carolina, January 23, 1953
