Death

Pontotoc, Miss. - Ruth Furr Galloway, 91, died June 4, 2005, at the Sunshine Rest Home. She was born July 26, 1913, in Toccopola to James Walter Furr and Ila Rodgers Furr. She was the widow of Kenneth Galloway, whom she married in 1944. She was a charter member of Maple Drive Presbyterian Church. Services were at the Browning Funeral Home Chapel in Pontotoc with burial in the Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Survivors include two daughters, Allyson Galloway Davis and husband, Mike, of Huntsville, Ala., and Nancy Galloway Anderson and husband, David, of Pontotoc; a son, Bill Galloway and wife, Maria, of Pontotoc; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three step-grandsons; a granddaughter-in-law; eight step-great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Ruth B. Galloway of Booneville; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
