Death
Funeral services were held this morning at 11 o'clock at Mission Baptist church in Stanly county for John Herrin, 48, who died Saturday in a Baltimore, Md., hospital. Rev. Coy Muckle officiated and burial was in the church cemetery. Pallbearers were Frank White, Vergil Tallent, Homer Funderburke, Syd Underwood, N. J., Lowert and W. T. Budy. Mr. Herrin was a resident of Charlotte for seven years, leaving this city in 1935. Surviving him are his wife Mrs. Callie Iola Herrin: one daughter, Mrs. Clarence Haywood of Charlotte: two sons, Raymond Herrin of Fort Knox, Ky., and Willard Herrin of Washington, D. C.; three sisters, Mrs. W. H. Cox of Concord. Mrs. Lillie Ritchie, and Mrs. R. K. Watson, both of Charlotte: three brothers, W. Z., J. C., and F.
