Death
MOUNT HOLLY - Louise Michael Johnson, 92, a resident of the Stanley Total Living Center formerly of Mount Holly, died Sunday, March 22, 2009 at the Stanley Total Living Center. She was born in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Hugh A. and Ada Furr Michael. She was the wife of the late Wrather Johnson. She was a retired school teacher from Belmont Central School in Belmont. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mount Holly and was an avid bridge player. She is survived by one daughter, Jill Johnson McCloy and husband David of Pinehurst; one grandson, Michael McCloy of Pinehurst; one brother, George Martin Michael and wife Irene, residents of the Stanley Total Living Center. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Woodlawn Chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly with Dr. Larry Kimel and the Rev. Mitch Murrow officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Metrolina Association for the Blind, 704 Louise Avenue, Charlotte, NC 28204 or to the First United Methodist Church 140 N. Main St. Mount Holly, NC 28120.
