Notes
Marriage
Wednesday evening at the home of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Tucker, No. 1223 East Second avenue, Mr. Harry Johnson and Miss Johnnie Furr were joined in holy wedlock by Rev. C. W. Daniels, pastor of the Baptist church. The marriage was a quiet affair, only a few friends being present. There is a bit of romance connected with the marriage. A few weeks ago Mr. Johnson, who was then employed at Cairo, Ill., met Miss Furr, who was visiting friends there. After her return, here he followed, securing a position with the Cotton Bell. Cupid joined him in his work and successfully carried his plans through. He proposed and the happy couple were married last night. Mr. Johnson is a very fine gentleman, and, not withstanding he has been here only a short while, has many friends. His bride is a very attractive young lady and has many admirers. We wish them well through life.Pine Bluff Daily Graphic, Pine Bluff, Arkansas, September 13, 1900
