Anthony Rader Sr. sold land without the consent of his wife and then died. She took it to court and won. Anthony Rader Jr. and Michael Rader testified in court that they were son's of Anthony Rader. The suit was about land Anthony Sr. had run off for Michael in 1800 or 1801. Michael married in 1801. He came from Greenbrier to Nicholas in about 1823 and built a two story log house and barn. Elizabeth thought Anthony was very well to do. He persuaded her to leave her home in Rockingham Co., VA and with her children, come to Greenbrier.
