No records of other children. Joan Ellis says that Edward "got on a boat in England, but was from Wales. Bob Pruitt indicates Edward was of Welsh descent, but may have been born in England. He was brought to this country as an indentured servant ca 1636 by Benjamin Carrill. By 1655, he had received a land grant of 100 acres. He lived on Chippoaks Creek (sometimes spelled Chippeaks or Chipockes) in James City Co. (Surry Co. was previously James City Co.)
