Death
Ruby Maxine Daniels, 82, of Muskogee, OK passed on to a heavenly home on November 26, 2010 after a lengthy illness. She was born November 5, 1928 in Dover, Arkansas to Emzy and Lillie Furr. The family moved to Muskogee and started a dairy farm when she was just a toddler. Ruby attended Sally Brown Rural School, Alice Robertson Jr. High and Muskogee Central High School. On September 29th, 1945 she married Hoy Daniels, her high school sweetheart. They had just celebrated 65 wonderful years together. Together they raised 3 sons who she loved dearly. Ruby was a great friend and wonderful mother-in-law. Before retirement Ruby was employed at Corning Glass Company for 30 years. After retirement Ruby and Hoy traveled to most of the United States but her favorite places to visit were along the Gulf Coast. She is preceded in death by her parents, Emzy and Lillie Furr; brother, Jessie Furr of Charleston, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Daisy Garman of Muskogee, OK; and brother-in-law, Jim Garman. Ruby is survived by her husband, Hoy, of the home; sons, Don and wife Cathy of Muskogee, OK, Mike and wife Rita of Owasso, OK, and Danny of Wylie, Texas; six grandchildren, Glen Daniels and wife Melissa of Central, OK, Scott Daniels and wife Katrina of Wagoner, OK, Cody Daniels and girlfriend Tiffany of Muskogee, OK, and Chelsea Sword and husband Todd of Garland, Texas. Great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and close friends, Kay, Phyliss, and Louise. Services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 30, 2010, at Southeast Baptist Church with Reverend Monte Baggett officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ken Cole, Royce Hagood, Sonny Salmon, Bill Robinson, Kelly Roland, and Joe Hull. Honorary Pallbearers will be Bill Harrison, Lee Hull, and J.B. Bass. Memorials may be made to Southeast Baptist Church Building Fund, 2511 E. Hancock Street, Muskogee, OK 74403.
