Death
"I have fought the good fight. I have finished the race." Patricia Carden Neff Furr received her crown of righteousness on May 14, 2002. Mrs. Furr, as many schoolchildren remember her, was retired from Grange Hall Elementary following many faithful years of service. She is survived by her husband, James Homer Furr; and children, James Hagood Furr and wife, Suzanne, Elizabeth Lea (Penny) Condrey and husband, Barry and Ann Carden Brooks and husband, Roger. Gregory James and Karen Michelle Furr, Caroline Elizabeth (Carey Beth) and Catherine Ashlea Condrey and Bret Lewis, Caleb Ben and Katie Carden Brooks will certainly miss their beloved Grandma Pat. The family will receive friends at Morrissett Funeral Home, 6500 Iron Bridge Road (Rt. 10), on Thursday, May 16 from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Centenary United Methodist Church in Winterpock, where she was church pianist for more than 25 years, on Friday, May 17 at 3 p.m. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Contributions may be made to the Pat Furr Roof Fund, Centenary U.M.C., 11270 Celtic Road, Chesterfield, Va. 23838.Endnotes
