Celebration of life service will be at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 23rd, at the Mobley-Groesbeck chapel with Pastor John Litterell officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Mobley-Groesbeck Funeral Service of Sand Springs. The daughter of Cleo Russell Killough and Betty Jean (Langley) Killough was born February 24th, 1946 in Tulsa. Kay attended Central High School. She married Butch Furr on July 2nd, 1963. Kay had a long career as a legal secretary, working in Tulsa and at the Oklahoma state capitol for M. David Riggs. Kay stayed close with her siblings throughout her life and loved camping at the lake, boating and water skiing, fishing, and hunting. She was also an avid sports fan, keeping up with her OU football up until her last day. She was a wonderful cook and was especially known for her fried chicken and cream gravy. During spring and summer, Kay could usually be found in her garden, planting many of her favorite flowers, and she always enjoyed seeing the foliage changing in the fall. She will be remembered for her generosity, giving heart, and how much she loved her family. Kay especially loved being involved in the lives of her two granddaughters, and the most recent love of her life, her great-grandson Tucker. Kay is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Clarence Killough, Harold Killough, James Killough, and Howard Killough. She is survived by daughter Jackie Bliss and husband Echota West of Sand Springs, sister Delores Hanshew and husband Bob of Lowell, AR, granddaughters Katy Brown and husband Andrew of Sand Springs, Emma Plute and husband Brandon of Coweta, great-grandson Tucker Brown and great-grandson on the way Wesley Plute. She will be greatly missed.Endnotes
