Billy Paul Furr, Jr. (Bill), age 60, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2013, in Lodi, CA from complications due to a motorcycle accident 26 years ago. He was born on May 9, 1953 in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to Paul and Agatha Furr. Bill's family moved to San Pablo CA in 1953 when he was 6 mos old. When he was 12, the Furr family moved to Newark, CA. He graduated from Newark High in 1971. He started working at his father's company, Richmond Optical in Hayward, when he was 16 and continued working until his accident in 1986. He is survived by his mother, Agatha Furr of Tracy, wife Debbie Furr of Lodi, three daughters, Rachel Shepard (Sam) of LaDera Ranch, CA, Angela Furr of Ceres, Sharnell Furr of Lodi, brothers Ron Furr (Shana) of Tracy, Ken Furr (Chris) of Oakley, sister Janet Crawford (Chuck) of Oakley, four grandchildren, Allie and Maddie Shepard, Kaitlyn Furr, Jeffrey Ramey Jr., and nieces and nephews. Bill enjoyed fishing as often as possible and hunting with his father and brothers. He was a fan of the Raiders and loved to ride his Harley. Bill has left many funny stories and wonderful memories in our hearts and his family and friends will cherish those memories always. His father, Paul Furr Sr. preceded him in death.
