Death

Robert Lee Furr, 82, of Ft. Worth and formerly of Celeste, passed away on May 7, 2018 at the Carrollton Health & Rehab. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 2:00 p.m. at the chapel of Coker-Mathews Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 1:00 p.m. until service time. Burial will follow at Celeste Cemetery. Robert was born on July 27, 1935 in Celeste, Texas to Joe Baily and Helen Storry Furr. He graduated from SMU in Dallas and went on to work as a brick layer, engineer and business owner. He was a member of the Foosball Hall of Fame, Tornado, Inc. Robert is survived by his daughters, Liz Lopez, Roslyn Southwick, Tania Lopez, Glenda Lopez, Rosa Esparza and 19 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents. Pallbearers will be Andrew Standridge, Ramiro Lopez, Ivan Lopez, Isiah Lopez, Abel Lurea and April Flores.
