Death

Mrs. Nettie Moore, wife of George W. Moore was born at Dover, Arkansas, June 11, 1863, and died at Coalgate, Oklahoma, October 4, 1942, at the age of 79 years, three months and 23 days. She was united in marriage to George W. Moore on March 5, 1884, and had lived together and maintained a home for over 58 years, living at their home here at No. 2, Arno street, Coalgate, Oklahoma, for the past 19 years, and had lived in what is now Coal county for more than 40 years, and in the State for the past 50 years. Moving from near Dover, Arkansas, to near Lone Grove, Indian Territory, from there to about 5 miles north of Centrahoma where later they bought a farm where they lived until they moved to Coalgate 19 years ago. To this union five children were born, two of whom are still living, Warren S. Moore, Norman, Okla., and Fred C, Moore, Oklahoma City, Okla., whom are left to mourn her loss, with her husband George W. Moore, and seven grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the First Methodist Church Monday, October 5, at 2:30 p. m., by Rev. A. J. Hamilton, interment in Coalgate cemetery. Among those attending the funeral services from out of town were: Rev. Vergil Alexander, pastor First Methodist Church, Ada, Okla., L. F. Branscome, N. C. Bowen, C. G. Hall, Emmit H. Johnston, R. O. Lawrence, C. N. Sussell and Billy Powers, all of Ada, and Mrs. J. A. Montorod, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
