BONHAM - Funeral services for Royce Gene Hunt, age 78, of Dodd City, Texas will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, October 16 at Bonham Living Word Church of God. Presiding will be former pastors, Dewayne Evors and Brian Rayburn. Interment will follow at Dodd City Cemetery. Mr. Hunt passed away on Friday, October 10, 2014 at his residence. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home, Bonham, TX. Royce Gene Hunt was born on July 5, 1936 in Point Cedar, AR to Jack and Ruby (Furr) Hunt. He married DeAnn (Tyler) Hunt on September 26, 1970 in Dallas, TX. Mr. Hunt was a retired insurance adjuster for Crawford and Company, and a member of Bonham Living Word Church of God. He is survived by wife-De Ann Hunt of the home; daughters-Tonya Anderson and husband Bruce of Bonham, TX; and Gena Ozment and husband Michael of Dodd City, TX; sons-Kyle Hunt of Honey Grove, TX; and Michael Hunt of Euless, TX; grandchildren-Christe Montgomery and husband Brad of Ft. Worth, TX, Scott Anderson and wife Randi of Ft. Worth, TX, Rylie Ozment, Hadley Ozment, Grady Ozment, and Grayson Ozment; two great grandchildren-Maddox Montgomery and Whitten Anderson; and brother-Boyce Hunt of Ft. Worth, TX. He is preceded in death by parents and son-Tracy Hunt. Mr. Hunt's love and devotion to his family and strong faith was a testimony of God's amazing grace in his life. His love for God's Word is a legacy he leaves behind. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Serving as pallbearers will be Harold Ashlock, Ernie Richards, Sam Posey, Philip Milam, Roy Burpo, and Joseph Grant. Honorary pallbearers are Dale Horton and Chuck Crossland. The family would like to thank Texas Best Care Home Health/ American Best Care Hospice for the excellent care given to him for over two years.
