Notes
Death
Miss Hallie May Furr, age 22, the accomplished and much loved daughter of Mr. and Mrs. P. B. Furr, died Sunday morning at 5 o'clock, after an illness of short duration and after undergoing an operation for appendicitis. She was sick only about three days and her death was a decided shock to the entire community. Funeral services were conducted by her pastor, Rev. E. S. Lewis at the Furr home on North street at 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon, interment taking place at 6 o'clock at St. Peters cemetery, the funeral cortege being one of the largest ever seen in Oxford. This young lady was deservingly popular with all who knew her, many of her schoolmates and Sunday school class being present at the funeral. She leaves a heart broken mother and father and several brothers and sisters to mourn her untimely demise. The Eagle joins in extending condolence to the grief stricken family and friends.Endnotes
