Don Bert Rapier, 41, former Atlantan, died Thursday in Jacksonville, Fla., after a long illness. He was a former salesman for Southern Business University, Inc., here. Funeral plans will be announced by J. Allen Couch & Sons. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Rapier of 648 Ashby St., N. W. A native of Atlanta, Mr. Rapier became associated with the Jones Business College in Jacksonville, Fla., several years ago. A member of the Bellwood Baptist Church, he served with the Merchant Marines during World War Il. He was a member of the Fulton Masonic Lodge and the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his wife; two daughters, Misses Jean and Patricia Elaine Rapier, Lancaster, S. C.; a son, Don Bert Rapier Jr., Lancaster, S. C.; two sisters, Mrs. Ed Stubbs and Mrs. Ray Gaddis, Atlanta; two brothers, Dewey R. Rapier, Forest Park, and Charlie D.
