Death
RICHFIELD -- Mrs. Maggie Belle Biles Furr, 82, died at 9 am Wednesday at Cabarrus Memorial Hospital in Concord. Funeral will be Friday at 11 am at the Frist Baptist Church in New London by the Rev. Frank Colburn. Burial will be in Bear Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Stanly County. The family will be at Lefler Funeral Home in Albemarle tonight from 7 to 9. Born May 9, 1894, in Palmerville, Stanly County. Mrs. Furr was a daughter of the late Isaac E. and Alice Hall Biles. She was a member of First Baptist Church in New London. Her husband, Luther F. Furr, died in 1969. Survivors include three sons, Melvin L. Furr of Albemarle, Horace Ray Scarborough of Richfield and Roy I. Burris of Mt. Pleasant, six daughters, Mrs. Nell Hahn of Concord, Mrs. Mae Morgan, Mrs. Doris Morgan and Mrs. Onnarah Morris, all of Richfield, Mrs. Sarah Carter of Kannapolis, Mrs. Marie Cauble of Mt. Pleasant, four brothers, Walter Biles of Concord, Henry Biles of Ellerby, the Rev. T. H. Biles of Columbia, SC, and Claude Biles of High Point, 23 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.Endnotes
