Born May 28, 1954, in Stanly County, NC, Vickie was the daughter of the late Lloyd P. Almond and Bessie Furr Almond. Vickie was a dedicated and hardworking woman who retired from Harris Teeter in Concord, NC, after previously working at Allison Manufacturing in Albemarle, NC. Throughout her working years, she took pride in her responsibilities and the friendships she made along the way. She was a member of New Life Church in Locust, where she enjoyed being part of her church family. Above all, Vickie cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose family held a special place in her heart. The moments spent together and the memories made with those she loved were among life's greatest blessings. Vickie is lovingly survived by her daughter, Jennifer Love (Reid) of Mt. Pleasant, NC; daughter-in-law, Monica Harris of Mt. Pleasant, NC; four grandchildren, Hannah Russell (Landon) of Mt. Pleasant, NC, Olivia Loftin (Colby) of Unionville, NC, Cody Love (Krista) of Mt. Pleasant, NC, and Dalton Love of Mt. Pleasant, NC; and six great-grandchildren, Avery, Emmy, Ellie, Jaxon, Cooper, and Hunter. She is also survived by her sister, Hilda Ritchie (Alvin) of Locust, NC. In addition to her parents, Vickie was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jeremy Shawn Harris, who passed away on May 5, 2023, and her brothers, Ray Almond and Vance Almond. Though her family will deeply miss her presence, they will forever treasure the love, memories, and special moments they shared. Vickie's life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. While saying goodbye is never easy, there is comfort in knowing that the bonds of love are never broken and that the memories of a life well lived remain with us always.
