MOUNT PLEASANT - Graveside services for Anita M. Furr, 91, of Ore City, were 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, 2011, at Damascus Cemetery, with Bro. Bill Whitaker officiating. Arrangements were by Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home. Ms. Burns died April 29, 2011, at a local nursing home. Born March 31, 1920, in Mena, Ark., she was a homemaker. Survivors include her daughter, Anita Henderson.

ORE CITY--Anita M. Furr, 91, of Ore City, died Friday, April 29, 2011 in Longview. A graveside service, under the direction of Bates-Cooper-Sloan Funeral Home, will be held at 2 p.m. Monday, May 2, at Damascus Cemetery with Rev. Bill Whitaker officiating. Ms. Furr was born on March 31, 1920, in Mena Ark., the daughter of the Audie Fulkerson and Florence Upchurch. She was a homemaker and a Baptist. She is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Howard Henderson; granddaughter and spouse Annetta and Kevin Betts; great grandchildren Trevor Betts, Krista Betts; nephew Larry Fulkerson; and niece Mary Beard. Ms. Furr was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John Allen Furr; a daughter, Florence Ann Furr; a brother, Dillard Fulkerson; and a niece Patsy Kennedy. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, 2011, at the funeral home.
