Death

Donald E. Flanagan Sr., also lovingly known as Don, transitioned into eternity on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 while at home with his family by his side. Donald will always be remembered for the love he had for his family, his passion in reading the bible and being a dedicated member to the Twin Oaks Baptist Church in the Whitehorn Cove area of Wagoner. Donald has been a resident of the Wagoner and Fort Gibson Lake community for over twenty four years moving from Broken Arrow. He married the love of his life Linda Sue Roberts on January 14, 1967 in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. To this union they were blessed with one son Don Jr., and daughters LaDonna and Lisa. While Donald was able he enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing softball in his earlier years, but most importantly spending time with his children and grandchildren. Nothing made him happier than to be surrounded by family and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda, parents John Flanagan and Dovie (Roberts) Flanagan, one daughter LaDonna Flanagan, four sisters and four brothers. Left to cherish Don's memories are his son Don Flanagan Jr. and his wife Dena of Haskell, Oklahoma, daughter Lisa Banta and her husband Kurt of Gentry, Arkansas, one brother in law Brady Roberts of Big Cabin, Oklahoma, three siste- in-laws, Thelma Walker of Broken Arrow, Bobbi Flanagan of Wagoner, Oklahoma and Pernie Edmiston of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. Six grandchildren, Harleigh Green, Colton Flanagan, Tucker Flanagan, Dallas Steele, Wyatt Banta and Morgan Flinn. Arrangements entrusted to Shipman Funeral Home in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Service: Monday, September 9, 2019, at Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Wagoner, Oklahoma. Burial is in Park Grove Cemetery.
