Death
Mrs. Ella E. Eastis, 86, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. M. McWhorter, in Fort Payne, Wednesday at 6:00 p. m. following a long illness. She was a native of Adairesville, Ga., but had made her home in Fort Payne the past 15 years. She was a member of the Collinsville Methodist Church. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. W. M. McWhorter; one step-daughter, Mrs. Minnie Sykes, Gadsden; seven grandchildren: two great grandchildren. Funeral services were held in the chapel of Wilson Funeral Home Friday at 10 a. m. with Dr. R. D. Cook officiating. Palbearers (sic) were Orville Cassidy, Jerald Mitchell, Rogers Culpepper, Roy Brittain, W, E. King, Ed Rice and I. E. Farmer. Burial was in Glenwood cemetery with Wilson Funeral Homea (sic) in charge.The Fort Payne Journal, Fort Payne, Alabama, July 11, 1951
