Death
JEWEL FURR Jewel passed away in Fresno on Saturday, March 17, 2007, at the age of 94. Jewel was born in Springtown, Texas on October 26, 1912. She has been a resident of Fresno since 1936. Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Furr; and a brother, Jones Brooks. "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow; nor crying. "Revelations 21:4 She is survived by her children, Jerry Furr and his wife Alice Jean of Fresno, Jim Furr and his wife Lupe, and Carolyn Baronian and her husband Don of Oregon. She is also survived by her brothers, Bill Brooks of Clovis, Ab Brooks of Fresno, and Jackie Furr of Dunlap; her eight grand-children, twenty one great-grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Stephens & Bean Chapel on Friday, March 23, 2007, from 8:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. A Graveside Service will be held at Fresno Memorial Gardens on Friday, March 23, 2007, at 12:00 noon.
