Dorothy Sasser Luther, 73, of Norwood, died Saturday evening, Jan. 9, 2010, at Transitional Health Care in Kannapolis. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, in the chapel of Edwards Funeral Home of Norwood. The Rev. Jimmy Barrett will officiate and burial will follow in Norview Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1 until 2 Tuesday afternoon at the funeral home.Mrs. Luther was born July 25, 1936, in Stanly County. She was a daughter of the late Thomas and Hettie Huneycutt Sasser and was a retiree of Collins and Aikman of Norwood.She is survived by her husband, Fred M. Luther of the home; one son, Fred Alvin Luther and wife, Reba, of Norwood; one daughter, Audrey L. Michaels and husband, John Lehto, of Kannapolis; one sister, Bonnie Callicutt of Albemarle; and nieces, nephews and cousins.
