Notes
Death
Mrs. Ann Starnes, beloved wide of Mr. C. W. Starnes, died a their home in Lafayette county May 14, 1910, having lived to a ripe old age. She was born July 29, 1836, in Cabarrus, N. C., and in the year 1854 united with the Lebanon Presbyterian church in which she lived consistently the remainder of her life. Beside her husband, she leaves three children, J. A. Morrow, Mrs. Hugh G. Bell and Mrs. Emma Nelson, and to them is left the memory of one whose every act proved her love and loyalty to them, shirking no duty or obligation that would contribute to their welfare. Her going causes a vacancy in the hearts and home but Heaven has been made the richer and there they may all meet again.Endnotes
