My maternal 5th. great grandfather is Jacob MISENHEIMER b. 1752 in PA the son of Johann Jakob MISENHEIMER and Margaretha REITER. He married 3 May 1779 in Rowan Co., NC to Elizabeth KRESS (CRESS) (daughter of John KRESS & Mrs. Catherine EBERHARDT). Jacob and Elizabeth had the following children: Margaret; Sarah b. 26 Oct 1792, married 22 Oct 1818 in NC to Godfrey WINECOFF; Rachel married Michael MILSTER; John b. ca 1780/90 in Mecklenburg Co., NC, d. 7 Nov 1838 in Montgomery Co., IL, married Mary FOGLEMAN in Cabarrus Co., NC (these are my 4th. great grandparents); George Monroe b. 14 Feb 1783 NC, d. bef. 1850 in NC, married 17 Apr 1806 in NC to Rosina LONG; Katherine married 21 Feb 1801 in NC to Christian GRONER; Elizabeth m. 22 Sept 1818 in NC to Michael WALLER?; Henry b. 1788, married 1 Oct 1810 in Cabarrus Co., NC to Rachel FURR; Joseph b. 27 Jan 1799 in Cabarrus Co., NC, married 18 Dec 1818 in NC to Polly MILSTER.
