Claude Coston June 9, 1916--March 5, 2004FORDYCE -- Claude Austin Coston, 87, of Fordyce, died Friday at St. Vincent Infirmary Medical Center at Little Rock. He was born June 9, 1916, at Locust Bayou (Calhoun County), a son of the late Claude Coston and Oleta Furr Coston. He was a retired dispatcher for the Arkansas Forestry Commission. He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the West Fourth Street Church of Christ at Fordyce. He was preceded in death by his wife, Melba Priddy Coston; and a brother, Dan G. Coston. Survivors include two sons, Don A. Coston Sr. of Pine Bluff and Ronald Stanley "Ronny" Coston of Fordyce; two grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; and three stepgrandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Benton Funeral Home at Fordyce with Todd Easterling officiating. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery at East Camden.
