BROOKHAVEN, Miss. (AP) — A Brookhaven man was killed in a fire that destroyed his home, the Lincoln County coroner said. William B, Furr, 26, of Brookhaven, was pronounced dead at the scene by coroner Morris Henderson. Firefighters arrived at the scene around 2:30 a.m. Saturday. No one else was in the house with Furr, Henderson said. Henderson said authorities believe a heater in a bathroom may have started the fire.
