Death
Debra Clark Boswell, a voice and music teacher at Chalmette High School, died Monday from injuries suffered in an auto accident on Highway 61 north of Vicksburg, Miss. She was 42. Mrs. Boswell was born in Leland, Miss., and lived in Hollandale and Shaw, Miss., before moving to Arabi several years ago. She attended Mississippi Delta Community College in Moorhead and received a bachelor's degree and master's degree in music education from Delta State University in Cleveland, Miss. She was a member of and organist for First Baptist Church of Chalmette. Survivors include her husband, Hugh P. Boswell; four daughters, Dee Dee, Nelda, Virginia and Ruthie Boswell; her parents, Cecil and Erlene Furr Clark of Hollandale; two brothers, Ronnie Clark of Ruleville, Miss., and Gary Clark of Greenville, Miss.; and her grandmother, Mellye Furr of Hollandale. A funeral will be held Friday at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church of Hollandale. Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Boone Chapel in Hollandale.
