Death
Mary Elizabeth Sugg Furr, 85, a homemaker, died of heart failure Tuesday in Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi. Graveside services are 2 p.m. on October 16 in Wesson Cemetery. Waller Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Furr, a Eupora native, was a longtime resident of Columbus and Oxford. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Columbus. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Survivors include: son, Ray A. Furr, Jr., of Oxford; brothers, Wetson Sugg of Eupora and Robert P. Sugg of Jackson; and three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to the William Hal Furr Dialogue on Religion Lecture Fund, in care of the University of Mississippi Foundation, Box 249, University, MS 38677.The Webster Progress-Times, Eupora, Mississippi, October 24, 1991
