Casparus VAN KEUREN
(Abt 1763 - )
Both Casparus were named for grandfather Casparus Westervelt, so 1 belonged to Tjerck, and the other to brother Cornelius, who had married Westervelt sisters, both daughters of Casparus Westervelt. Being about the same age, it was difficult to determine which was which, in various records. The key was the birth record of triplets to Casparus Van Keuren and wife on Jun 25, 1803(published Jun 28), stating the family was of "9 children". Casparus married to Maria Ostrum had already baptised 9 children by 1796, thus identifying this as the Casparus married to Sarah Weaver. Baptism of 2nd child, Elizabeth, and the marriage record of son, Cornelius, further identifies this Casparus as the son of Cornelius."

Notes
Residence (family)
Record lists:2 free males over 16: presumably Casparus and a brother or worker
1 free male under 16: presumably a son
1 free white female: wife Sara
Because Casparus is only 27, we can nearly certainly rule out the possibility that the record shows Casparus and wife, plus a daughter and her husband.
