Death
The death certificate has the code "56e" overwritten. In the 1938 revision of International List of Causes of Death, 56e is the code for"Non-malignant tumours. . . Of other and unspecified organs"
Wikipedia has an entry for "pseudomyxoma peritonei" that reads, in part, "Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) is a clinical condition caused by cancerous cells (mucinous adenocarcinoma) that produce abundant mucin or gelatinous ascites."
NIH (https://rarediseases.info.nih.gov/diseases/7488/pseudomyxoma-peritonei) says this, "Pseudomyxoma peritonei (PMP) is a rare condition characterized by the presence of mucin in the abdominal (peritoneal) cavity. While the most common cause of PMP is appendix cancer, several types of tumors (including non-cancerous tumors) can cause PMP."
