Savage does not include Sarah in his list of daughters of William Cottle.Moseley believes that Sarah is an alternate name for Ann.
Pope thinks there are two daughters and that Titcomb married Sarah.
Hoyt believes that there were two daughter, Sarah and Ann, and notes that one Newbury record states that William Titcomb married Sarah and another says that he married Ann. He says that it is possible that Titcomb married both.
