George BUNKER
(Abt 1620 - 26 May 1658)
George Bunker, c1615 -1658, was the son of William de BonCoeur, a French Huguenot who had fled to England. George came in 1634 to Ipswich, MA, and was one of the original settlers of Topsfield, MA. He drowned there in 1658 leaving his widow Jane Godfrey and 5 young children. Jane married second Richard Swain and she and the children moved with him to Nantucket in 1658. William, son of George, settled in Nantucket and married Mary Macy daughter of one of the founders of Nantucket, Thomas Macy.
Hoppin debunks this theory.
