In the census, they state that they have been married for 19 years. In the columns for number of children/living, they entered "0" and nothing. But the next line lists daughter Mable, age 13.

I will go with the hypothesis that the zero is a mistake and that Mable is their daughter. Of course, another possibility is that Mable is a daughter of Augustus only.
