Loring/Toomey/Ober, #47: John5 [b. 1765] and Israel4 [b. 1726] or 5 [b. 1771] are in 1790 census in Salem, N.H., only Israel in 1800. John's son b. Salem, 1792, 1797, so he left Salem c. 1798-1800. May be John Ober in 1800 census in Corinth, Vt. In Crown Point N.Y. by 1818 tax list. Also prob. near W. Cornwall, c. 1812 (story below)."
