Birth
An "Ancestry Chart" prepared for the Wineland family by Genealogist John W. Tanner, date unknown, indicates that the father of Abraham Wineland was 'Peter Wineland, Jr.' and indicates a birth date of 1768 and a death date of 1816. From that, I am assuming there was an intervening generation between Peter Johannes and Abraham, a Peter, Jr.?Pam Shaffer's letter to "Mr. Tanner" in 1986 indicates that Peter Wineland, Jr. was a brother of Abraham Wineland. (I question this given that their birthdays are 37 years apart. msr)
Pam Shaffer also indicates a birth date of 1730 for Peter Wineland, Sr. rather than 1750
The Pennsylvania "Find-a-Grave" Website lists his name as "Peter Johannes Wineland."
