1. Because he was naturalized as a citizen in 1767, the assumption is that he was not born "under the British crown." Therefore, Germany could have been the location from which he immigrated.2. If Johan Jacob Stutzman was his father, then Germany as the site from which he immigrated is probably correct.
3. The Burbank family tree on Ancestry.com lists his birth date as "abt 1748"; however, that family tree omits the generation before him, i.e. Jacob Stutsman, Sr.
