Birth
His obituary, published in the Arizona Republic on 16 Feb 2003 indicates that he was [born in a log cabin in Rockingham County NC ... the ninth of ten children..."Marriage
Walter taught business at Mt. Pleasant PA High School when Beulah taught French there. There was a glass partition between their classrooms and they flirted through that glass. They married during the Depression (1934)Occupation
.After marriage Walter took a job in a chemical plant in Hopewell VA. Walter got his M.B.A. from Northwestern Univ while Beulah worked in the Chicago Loop. After he graduated, they stayed in the Chicago area, living in EvanstonResidence
They later (mid-1930's?) bought a house in Maywood. They moved to AZ when he was 50 where he was Comptroller at the Salt River Project, Tempe,Arizona.
They moved to their Retirement Community in 1980.
