Civil War roster records include 24 George Haines' from PA.Civil War Pension Records include 8 George Haines', one of whom, "George H. Haines [had a] widow Sarah E." when the pension request was filed 15 Sept 1864. However, since George died in 1901, Sarah WEISS Haines, this ancestor's wife, would not have been a widow in 1864.
